THE YOUNG MOTHER BEHIND THE BLOG!
20 21 22 23 24!
Latina. And, yes I speak Spanish fluently.
Social media, fashion, and beauty enthusiast.
Gonzo journalism. Glamorganic. Freakonomics.
I listen to Reggaeton music on my way to the farmer’s market after yoga.
I’m a free spirit open-minded wanderer who lives and acts free of regard for conventional rules and practices.
ABOVE ALL I am a mother.
I live in Sacramento, CA with my two adorable kids.
Nolan, 3 & Neveah, 5
I started this blog when Neveah was two years old, and Nolan was three months old. My kids are my pride and joy. They’re my soul inspiration for most of my writings you’ll see on this blog. They’re the reason for my blog in the first place. I’ve learned a lot in my journey of being a mom. Everyday is an adventure with these two!
Vanessa, 20 is my younger less cuter (jk) sister. In an unexpected event she too has become a young mother. Vanessa’s son, Andre, was born two month premature in addition he has a special condition called gastroschisis. She is learning to cope and handle a different set of obstacles then I had to overcome as a young mom. We may be sister’s, but we are very different. That is why I have welcomed her onto this blog as a contributor, so that she may share her story as well as helpful tips from her viewpoint.
ABOUT CHRONICLES OF A YOUNG MOTHER
In September of 2014, at the age of 20, I started Chronicles of a Young Mother as my personal journal to chronicle the obstacles and adventures that come with being a young mother of two. Since then Chronicles of a Young Mother has become my creative outlet to share advice on beauty, fashion, and of course young modern motherhood from a millennial perspective.
My mission with Chronicles of a Young Mother is to ensure no young mom feels ostracised from the mom community because of her age. I want to empower other young moms, so that together we can redefine what it means to be a young mother.
I hope that if you’re a young mom like me that my blog helps you to find the beauty in young motherhood, and to know that you are NOT alone in the struggles of young parenting. This blog is my version of Teen Mom THEY DON’T SHOW ON TV. And if you’re not a young mom like me I still welcome you and hope you join me in my journey because I welcome all moms not just young ones. 🙂
I welcome constructive criticism and opposing views; however, I won’t tolerate any threatening or nasty comments. If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it at all!
THANK YOU FOR STOPPING BY!
